As encostas suaves e frescas das terras das Hortas Velhas de Viana do Alentejo, onde há doism mil anos se estendiam as antigas vinhas romanas, são o local onde nasce este vinho. Foi também em Viana que em 1893 se criou a primeita adega Social de Portugal, já há muito tempo desaparecida tal como os seus vinhedos. O vinho “Hortas Velhas” retoma a tradição vinícola multisecular de Viana do Alentejo, fruto de um projeto pessoal que visa reconhecer e prestar tributo à história vinícola desta região transtagana.

The gentle and refreshing slopes of the lands of Hortas Velhas in Viana do alentejo, where two thounsand years ago the ancient Roman vineyards once stood, are the birthplace of this wine. It was also in Viana that, in 1893, the first Wine Cellar Cooperative of Portugal was created, witch has long since disappeared, just like vineyards. The “Hortas Velhas” wine revives the centuries-old wine tradition of Viana do Alentejo, the result of a personal project that aims to acknowledge and pay tribute to the vinicultural history of this transtagana region.
